Integrative therapist with psychodynamic core
John Derry
Whether you’re part of the heavy metal scene or come from another walk of life, I understand that we all carry personal struggles, be it grief, trauma, addiction, or difficult relationships. These challenges can often leave us feeling stuck in repetitive, unhelpful patterns, and sometimes it’s hard to see a way forward. This can lead to questioning the meaning of our lives and our sense of purpose.
If you’ve reached a point where you feel it’s time to work through these issues, I’m here to help. As a qualified counsellor, I offer more than just a listening ear. I provide compassionate, professional support tailored to your unique needs, so you can find clarity, healing, and a renewed sense of direction.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Theology and Counselling as well as a Level 2 TQUK qualification in Self-Harm and Suicide Awareness and Prevention. I bring a unique perspective shaped by my experiences growing up within the heavy metal community. Like many, I’ve faced feelings of isolation and the struggle to find where I truly belong. Those experiences have fuelled my passion for creating a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their emotions and work through life’s challenges.
Let’s work together to navigate the challenges you’re facing, and create lasting change.
